What is bikram yoga?

Bikram yoga is a series of 26 Hatha yoga Asanas (postures) and Pranayamas (breathing) exercises. It is practised in a 'box' heated to 40 Deg C and a humidity of 40%. The sessions are suitable for all ages and different levels of ability. In the 90 min sessions each posture is designed to systematically and progressively work each joint, tendon, muscle, ligament, glands and organs whilst sending oxygenated blood throughout the body. Your system is reset back to the way it was intended by mother nature!

Bikram Choudhury, the founder, developed this series to deliver TOTAL health and wellbeing. Thus helping the body to prevent illness and injury, promote weight loss and limit the aging effect. The postures combine various skills, patience, determination and concentration, balance and self control. These in turn will promote better mental strength and help you de stress.

After each session you will feel energised and cleansed. Over time your flexibility, core body strength, balance and stamina will increase.
